Numbing is Mandatory: Because we are working at a corrective depth, you must arrive 45–60 minutes early to sit with our prescription-strength numbing cream. This ensures the treatment remains comfortable.

Pause the Actives: Discontinue Retin-A, Tretinoin, and strong exfoliating acids (glycolic/salicylic) for 3–5 days prior. We need your skin barrier to be intact and calm before we treat it.

Cold Sore Prevention: If you have a history of cold sores (even once), the mechanical trauma will likely trigger an outbreak. Please take an antiviral medication starting 1 day before your appointment.

No Active Infection: We cannot treat over active, inflamed acne cysts or open wounds, as this spreads bacteria. If you are having a major breakout, please contact us to reschedule.

  • The Sensation: Even with numbing, you will feel pressure and a “scratchy” vibration. Bony areas (forehead, bridge of nose) will be sensitive.

  • The Blood: Because we are targeting deep scars, there will be pinpoint bleeding. This is the goal—blood brings the growth factors needed to heal the scars.

  • Targeted Work: We may “stamp” specific deep scars individually to ensure we break up the tissue.

  • Duration: The active needling takes about 30–45 minutes, but plan for 90 minutes total with numbing.

  • The “Raw” Phase (Days 1–3): You will look red, swollen, and potentially bruised. It will feel like a bad sunburn.

  • The Peel (Days 4–7): Your skin will feel dry, tight, and rough. You may experience flaking or “bronzing” (scabbing) as the dead skin sheds.

  • The Glow (Day 10+): Once the peeling finishes, the fresh skin underneath will look pink and smooth.

  • Downtime: Listed as 7 to 10 days. You likely won’t want to wear makeup or go to social events for at least the first 5 days.

The “Sunburn” Phase: You will look and feel like you have a moderate-to-severe sunburn for the first 24 hours. Redness, heat, and tightness are normal.

Sweat Ban: Avoid the gym, saunas, and heavy sweating for 48–72 hours. Your pores are wide open, and sweat contains bacteria that can cause a reaction or infection.

Hands Off: Do not touch your face. Bacteria is your enemy right now. Sleep on a fresh pillowcase tonight and avoid letting pets near your face.

Makeup Hold: Wait at least 24–48 hours before applying makeup. If you must cover up after that, use clean brushes and mineral-based products.

The Flake: around Day 3 or 4, your skin may feel like sandpaper and start to flake. Do not pick or scrub. Let the dead skin slough off naturally to reveal the fresh collagen underneath.

For optimal results, a period of effective active treatment products, such as Vitamin A, C or Resveratrol is recommended to allow the skin’s strength to build up.

For minimum needed depths, microneedling treatments are painless. Treatments over 0.25mm deep, may require a topical anesthetic to be applied 15-40 minutes before the procedure. This will ensure a virtually pain free treatment.

Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-72 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Application of a breathable camouflage will seal the skin and cover any redness for an immediate return to work.

It is recommended to wait at least 7 days after filler injections, so that any post treatment bruising from the fillers can settle. It is also possible to have microneedling done several days before having fillers injected. Ask your provider- we cannot dispense medical advice.

Microneedling Facial is $590, please inquire about body treatments.
