Frequently asked questions about Lash Lift and Brow Lamination

Lash lift

It’s a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. All treatments include a lash tint for your upper lashes, though this may not replace mascara for those clients with petite or fine lashes.

Please come to your appointment with NO EYE MAKEUP ON. For better results, remain mascara-free for 24 hours before your treatment. If you wear contacts, please remove them prior to your lash lift. Although reactions to Elleebana Lash Lifting procedures are extremely rare, please schedule a patch test a minimum of 24 hours before your treatment if you are concerned about allergies/irritation.

  • Allows for more precise positioning of eyelashes
  • Provides length with the comfort of your natural lashes
  • Allows for lifting of eyelashes and can reverse old perms
  • Superior formulation that conditions and nourishes lashes
  • Fast processing formulation and is formaldehyde-free
  • Minimal after-care: swim, shower and play with no fuss
  • Suitable for short or long eyelashes

Lash lifts and lash extensions are two very different services. We will not be adding any additional lashes to you. We will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.

Do not get your lashes wet or apply anything to them for 24 hours. This includes cooking over steam, saunas and makeup remover wipes. Be careful not to sleep on your side or face where your lashes would rub against your pillow, as the lashes are still malleable, and any contact with your freshly lifted lashes may reposition them or cause them to fall. Do not rub or play with the lashes. If any irritation occurs, apply a clean cold wet pad to the eye area or contact your doctor. After the initial 24-48 hours, you may go back to your normal routine. It is best to use oil-free makeup removers and hydrating mascaras. Do not use waterproof mascara as this can be too drying on the lashes.

Generally a lash lift lasts 6-8 weeks, but for some it can last up to 10 weeks. The average lifespan of the natural lash is anywhere from 45-90 days, depending on each individual.  On rare occasions, it is not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern.  Eyelashes are at different stages of the cycle within their life, and as a result, we lose lashes every day.

If the service is done carefully, the lashes should not show signs of damage since the lifting solution is not being applied all the way to the tips of the lashes. If the lashes are weak and/or damaged before receiving the treatment, it is recommended to wait until your lashes have grown stronger to prevent further damage and over processing. We recommend Revitalash to all of our clients.

The service is not painful, but it does feel a little strange while initially applying the rods. This can be a very relaxing service, so let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your service more comfortable. If you are claustrophobic, we do not recommend receiving a Lash Lift since you are required to keep your eyes closed for a minimum of 45 minutes.

The Sapien staff works hard to help you achieve health, wellness and self-expression. A 20% increase in service prices now reflects a mandatory 15% in gratuity and a 5% charge for PPE. You may request to leave additional gratuity during our hands-free checkout.

Brow Lamination

Brow lamination works for most eyebrow shapes and styles, from full to sparse, so it is ideal for anyone looking to improve the shape of their brows.

The brow lamination process can take up to 12 minutes, however, other tinting and hair removal techniques are incorporated into the treatment, it should take 45 minutes.

Brow lamination results last up to 6-12 weeks following treatment.

No. There are no eyebrow extensions or permanent make up involved in a brow lamination treatment. The treatment uses entirely your own brow hair. It’s the eyebrow repositioning and shape correction that gives a fuller appearance.

Yes, brow lamination is a perfectly safe treatment. As with any eyebrow treatment, your artist will ask relevant questions and undertake the relevant patch policy to ensure that the treatment and products are suitable for you.

Brow lamination is not exactly the same as a lash lift, but uses the same basic principles.

Brow lamination is not permanent; results usually last up to 6-12 weeks.

It’s really easy to care for your brows following a lamination treatment. For the first 24 hours, you should treat your brows with care, avoiding getting them wet, and avoid steam baths and saunas. We also recommend that you avoid applying pressure, especially sleeping on them for the first 24-48 hrs. After this time, you can treat them normally by simply brushing them into place every morning with a spoolie.
