Appointment rules

 

BY BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE POLICIES.

Thank you for understanding that our polices are necessary to sustain our small business and are not personal. We ask that you do not come here if you cannot agree to our policies and respect our staff.

If you aren’t able to commit to a time, that’s fine! Please text us to join our waitlist or book last minute as a walk-in.

 

BOOKING FEE

  • At the time of booking, all services are subject to a 50% non-refundable booking fee ( excluding members and package holders).
  • This is not a deposit, it is a fee to reserve a time on our books. Your fee will be applied to your service if you do not cancel or reschedule. If all policies are respected and cancellations are over 7 days before the original appointment then this fee remains on your account. 

RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATION

  • When selecting a time to book, please book either the first or the last appointment available and avoid booking times in the middle if you can. This helps us to optimize our books so that we may assist everybody with their skincare needs. We will contact you to move your appointment time if it is scheduled in a service spot that isn’t available or a time was selected that isn’t optimal for the esthetician.
  • A major credit card is required to book your reservation or make any purchase. It is a system requirement that cannot be bypassed.
  • Arriving later than 20% of your appointment time will be considered a late cancellation, and you will be charged for the full service. Please come on time and communicated with your esthetician if you will be late.
  • If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment for any reason, no exceptions will be made for any reason.
  • Please give us much time as possible if you plan to miss your appointment, This gives us time to rebook the time you reserved so you will not be liable for the time you reserved. In the case your time is rebooked, there is no fee. If the time remains unbooked, you will be charge the full service price up to $300 per hour to cover our costs.
  • No-show appointments will be charged the full service cost.

COVID AND SICK POLICY

  • We enforce our policies in all instances, including illness.
  • We will not be taking clients with ANY cold symptoms.
  •  If you or anyone you live with has been exposed to the COVID, cold or flu in the past week, please cancel your appointment. 
  • Cancel 7 days before your appointment to avoid fees.

ARRIVAL
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the time of your scheduled appointment. Regretfully, untimely arrivals may be subject to reduced treatment time in order to remain on schedule for subsequent guests.

We reserve the right to modify, discontinue or change services and prices without notice to ensure that maximum standards of service and quality are being met.

FOR YOUR SAFETY
Clients with medical conditions are advised to consult their doctors prior to booking any skincare or beauty services. Kindly inform your therapist of any existing medical conditions by completing an online consent form prior to your service, or by notifying your therapist before your service. Sapien reserves the right to discontinue service for any reason to ensure the safety of all parties.

FACILITIES
Sapien is an open-air urban day spa, and a standard shower is available before and after any facial or body treatment appointment. We are proudly ADA compliant with a wheelchair-accessible storefront and electric treatment table.

MINORS
Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

MICRONEEDLING, LASER AND PEEL POLICY
The client is responsible for bringing in their own UPF protection (i.e. Bluestone Sunshield, wide brim hat, etc) on the day of their appointment as SPF will not be applied after the service and any exposure to light following the service will result in damage to the skin. If the client does not have their own sufficient UPF protection they will be required to purchase a Bluestone Sunshield at the time of their appointment.
