  • Come Clean: Arrive with zero eye makeup. No mascara, brow gel, or eyeliner. Scrubbing it off right before the appointment can irritate the skin and affect the chemical process.

  • Stop Retinol: Pause Retin-A, Retinol, or harsh exfoliants on the forehead/eye area for 3–5 days prior to avoid sensitivity during lamination.

  • Grow it Out: For the best brow lamination results, try not to trim or tweeze your brows for 2–3 weeks before your appointment so we have more hair to work with.

  • Contacts: Please remove contact lenses before your treatment to avoid irritation from fumes or fluids.

  • The Process: You’ll lie back with your eyes closed. We adhere your lashes to a silicone shield (for the lift) or brush your brows into the desired shape (for lamination).

  • The Sensation: You shouldn’t feel pain. You might smell a “perm” odor (sulfur) during the processing step—this is normal.

  • Duration: A Lash Lift takes about 45–60 minutes. Brow Lamination takes about 30–45 minutes.

  • Customize: We decide the “curl” level together—do you want a soft natural sweep or a dramatic vertical lift?

  • Immediate Look: Your lashes will look wet and clumped initially (like clear mascara). Your brows will look very flat and shiny against your skin. This is the “set” phase.

  • Don’t Panic: Your brows might look too dark or “glued down” on Day 1. Once you wash them after 24 hours, they will fluff up and look natural.

  • Redness: Mild pinkness around the eyebrows is common due to the chemical processing and waxing cleanup.

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Do not get your lashes or brows wet for 24 hours. No shower steam, no face washing, no sweat, no makeup. Water will deactivate the bond and your lift will fall flat.

  • Sleep on Your Back: Try not to smash your face into the pillow tonight, as the hairs are still setting into their new shape.

  • Hydrate: Lamination dries out the hair. After the first 24 hours, apply a nourishing oil (like castor oil or the one we recommend) nightly to keep hairs healthy.

  • Brush ‘Em Up: You will need to brush your brows into place every morning. They are pliable now, not permanently stuck!

FAQ

It’s a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. All treatments include a lash tint for your upper lashes, though this may not replace mascara for those clients with petite or fine lashes.

Please come to your appointment with NO EYE MAKEUP ON. For better results, remain mascara-free for 24 hours before your treatment. If you wear contacts, please remove them prior to your lash lift. Although reactions to Elleebana Lash Lifting procedures are extremely rare, please schedule a patch test a minimum of 24 hours before your treatment if you are concerned about allergies/irritation.

  • Allows for more precise positioning of eyelashes
  • Provides length with the comfort of your natural lashes
  • Allows for lifting of eyelashes and can reverse old perms
  • Superior formulation that conditions and nourishes lashes
  • Fast processing formulation and is formaldehyde-free
  • Minimal after-care: swim, shower and play with no fuss
  • Suitable for short or long eyelashes

Lash lifts and lash extensions are two very different services. We will not be adding any additional lashes to you. We will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.

Do not get your lashes wet or apply anything to them for 24 hours. This includes cooking over steam, saunas and makeup remover wipes. Be careful not to sleep on your side or face where your lashes would rub against your pillow, as the lashes are still malleable, and any contact with your freshly lifted lashes may reposition them or cause them to fall. Do not rub or play with the lashes. If any irritation occurs, apply a clean cold wet pad to the eye area or contact your doctor. After the initial 24-48 hours, you may go back to your normal routine. It is best to use oil-free makeup removers and hydrating mascaras. Do not use waterproof mascara as this can be too drying on the lashes.

Generally a lash lift lasts 6-8 weeks, but for some it can last up to 10 weeks. The average lifespan of the natural lash is anywhere from 45-90 days, depending on each individual.  On rare occasions, it is not possible to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern.  Eyelashes are at different stages of the cycle within their life, and as a result, we lose lashes every day.

If the service is done carefully, the lashes should not show signs of damage since the lifting solution is not being applied all the way to the tips of the lashes. If the lashes are weak and/or damaged before receiving the treatment, it is recommended to wait until your lashes have grown stronger to prevent further damage and over processing. We recommend Revitalash to all of our clients.

The service is not painful, but it does feel a little strange while initially applying the rods. This can be a very relaxing service, so let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your service more comfortable. If you are claustrophobic, we do not recommend receiving a Lash Lift since you are required to keep your eyes closed for a minimum of 45 minutes.

The Sapien staff works hard to help you achieve health, wellness and self-expression. A 20% increase in service prices now reflects a mandatory 15% in gratuity and a 5% charge for PPE. You may request to leave additional gratuity during our hands-free checkout.
