Living with redness is exhausting. Whether it’s the chronic flush of Rosacea, the “squiggly” spider veins around your nose, or skin that just feels reactive and angry, we understand the struggle. At Sapien, we treat redness as a medical condition, not just a cosmetic annoyance. We use advanced vascular lasers to collapse unwanted blood vessels and soothing clinical protocols to repair your skin barrier, helping you face the world without the camouflage.

30-105 Minutes

weekly series

every 2-4 weeks

1–7 days
Cool It Down: Avoid activities that cause severe flushing (heavy cardio, saunas, spicy food) for 24 hours prior to your appointment. We want your vessels at their baseline, not maximally dilated.
No Tan: Lasers target color. If your skin is tanned (brown), the laser cannot safely find the red vessels without risking a burn. You must be at your natural skin tone.
Stop Actives: Pause Retin-A, Retinol, and exfoliating acids 3–5 days prior. Sensitive skin needs its barrier intact before we treat it.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol the night before, as it dilates blood vessels and dehydrates the skin.

Sensation:
ClearV/BBL/IPL: A “spicy” sensation or quick snap. You may feel heat building up.
ClearSilk: A warm, relaxing sensation, like a hot stone massage.
Facials: Cool, soothing, and painless.
The “Flash”: Vascular treatments use bright light. We provide opaque eye shields, but you will still perceive the brightness.

Immediate Response: You will likely look redder immediately after the treatment. This is normal; we just agitated the vessels. This typically subsides within 24 hours.
The “Cat Scratch”: If treating specific veins with ClearV, they may look like a tiny “cat scratch” or bruise for 3–5 days as they heal and disappear.
Swelling: Treating Rosacea can sometimes cause minor swelling under the eyes (edema) for 1–2 days. Sleeping elevated helps.

Avoid Heat: This is the #1 rule. No saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, or intensely spicy food for 48 hours. Heat causes vessels to expand, which undoes the work we just did to close them.
Cool Compresses: If you feel warm, use a cool pack (not ice directly on skin).
Sun Protection: UV exposure triggers Rosacea and widens vessels. SPF 50+ is mandatory.

Medically, Rosacea is a chronic condition with no “cure,” but it can be managed. Our goal is to reduce the visible symptoms (redness, bumps, flushing) so significantly that you don’t feel them daily. Maintenance treatments are usually required once or twice a year.
The specific vessel we treated is destroyed and reabsorbed by the body—it is gone. However, if you are prone to them (genetics/lifestyle), you can develop new ones in different areas over time.
Yes. Unlike the “snap” of BBL or the sting of ClearV, ClearSilk feels like warm heat radiating in the skin. It is our most comfortable laser option and perfect for clients who are nervous about pain.
Yes! BBL and ClearSilk are fantastic for this dual concern. The heat kills the acne bacteria while simultaneously collapsing the redness. It’s a win-win.
Lasers look for “chromophores” (color). We want the laser to find the Red (Hemoglobin). If you are tan, you have added a layer of Brown (Melanin) on top. The laser might hit the brown instead of the red, causing a surface burn.
Broken Capillaries (ClearV): Often just 1–2 sessions.
General Rosacea (BBL/ClearSilk): Typically a series of 3–5 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.
